Behavior Contracts are just what you’d expect: an agreement between you and your child that makes expectations clear. When you use them, expect to hear less complaints like, “No fair, you didn’t say that!” Why? Because you did say it, and it’s right there in the contract. Be sure to review Behavior Contracts occasionally to make sure your child is on track and is still clear about what was agreed on.

It can make life easier for parents to have a written plan, and kids usually like the structure as well. Don’t forget to review the Behavior Contract with your child from time to time.
